Workplace safety should always be a priority, even on job sites where water isn’t available. Use a portable shower or washer to treat chemical incidents in places without running water.
Our Self Contained Washing Units
Our self contained washing units are built in accordance with the Australian Standard AS4775 — as such, they provide the following:
Our portable units are meant to replace deluge showers in areas where there is no running water. Because of that, they need to supply enough water flow to properly rinse an area that has been chemically contaminated.
All of our products meet the minimum 15 minutes of sustained flow at a rate no less than 1.5 litres per minute. The actual usage time will vary depending on the size of the unit.
Our emergency showers are designed to be easy to activate by an injured operator and will remain open without additional input.
Our combination units can be activated simultaneously by a single operator. Minimum required flow rates are met while operating both the shower and eyewash at the same time.
Our Personal Units
AS4775 states that personal units are not meant to replace proper washing stations and showers, they are meant to complement their use in the following ways:
Due to their size, even portable stations cannot be taken everywhere. When working in tight or cramped spaces, workers can carry personal washing stations in their tote bags or toolboxes.
Tissue in and around the eyes is so delicate that after accidental exposure to chemicals, every second counts.
Keeping personal face wash units close to workers dealing with hazardous materials can lessen the damage by providing immediate flushing before the worker can get to a proper washing station.
