PRO Choice’s extensive range of safety gloves has continued to evolve for more than 30 years, ensuring that even the most rugged of Australia’s industrial workplaces are protected.
When it comes to caring for two of your more vital assets — and let’s face it, hands are an extremely important part of life — choosing a task-specific and well fitting glove is imperative.
BIG Safety stocks a wide variety of welding work gloves for every situation, from the weekend handyman to the professional requiring day long protection.
With the exception of the lightweight TIG pig grain gloves (300 mm), PRO Choice’s welding safety gloves are all 406 mm long, providing essential forearm protection when it’s needed most.
The Pyromate black jack welding glove is our entry level heavy duty welding glove. Made from high quality cow split leather, it’s both comfortable and cost-effective.
Made from red cow split leather, the Pyromate red kevlar welding glove is lined and welted for comfort and protection. The kevlar stitching ensures that the glove is heat resistant for longer periods.
The Pyromate blue kevlar welding glove is made from blue cow split leather. The lined and welted glove is kevlar stitched to withstand high temperatures for longer periods. It also has a reinforced palm and thumb for added durability and heat protection.
Sold in pairs, the Pyromate southpaw green kevlar welding glove is lined, welted and made green cow split leather. The kevlar stitching means the glove is heat resistant for longer periods. Since the right hand glove is generally not used as much, having the option of two left handed gloves means less wastage in busy work scenarios.
PRO Choice’s welding gloves are EN 388 certified - the European standard used to evaluate mechanical risks for hand protection.
The standard specifies the requirements and test methods for gloves used for manual welding of metals, cutting and related techniques, combining EN388 and EN407.
EN388: assesses abrasion resistance, blade cut resistance, tear resistance and puncture resistance.
EN407: assesses burning behaviour, contact heat resistance, convective heat resistance and molten metal resistance.
EN420: referenced in EN12477, it ensures the gloves are comfortable and correctly sized with suitable dexterity so as not to cause harm to the wearer.
Note: PRO Choice’s TIG pig grain welders gloves have not been assessed against the above standard.
In addition to our range of welding gloves, BIG Safety also stocks a wide selection of PRO Choice Pyromate welding apparel. From welder's caps and jackets to sleeves, spats, welder’s aprons and welding blankets, you can rest assured that your workers will be covered from head to toe.
