• An impact has occurred that would have caused the wearer injury, which could have weakened the integrity of the hard hat.

Additionally, your hard hat must be replaced when:

• The shell becomes brittle.
• The shiny surface appears dull, chalky or changes colour.
• Cracks appear in the shell.
• The helmet surface has had a significant impact.

Also, your hard hat harness must be replaced when:

• One or more of the mounts break off.
• The harness becomes brittle.
• The harness will no longer hold securely to the head.
• The cradling straps become weak or worn.
