We bought this for the team to take our big sign out to the road. This item is very thick and durable. I am normally a 1x-2x in mens shirts and this is plenty big enough to go over the top of my jacket which makes it even better and easier to use.

PRO Choice’s Four Pillars for Safety Gloves
Choosing the right glove for the job is an important decision when it comes to hand protection. PRO Choice’s four pillars for safety gloves form an integral part of this.
1. Comfort
When it comes to safety gloves, comfort is a top priority. The reason it’s so important is simple. If the gloves are uncomfortable, workers will be less inclined to wear them.
2. Fit
Gloves that gape or sag or simply don’t fit properly risk getting caught in machinery. At an industrial level this is especially dangerous and could easily end in disaster.
3. Protection
Gloves must hold up against the hazards of the task they’re meant for. Depending on the setting, safety gloves should be able to withstand heat and abrasion and shouldn’t puncture, tear or cut through.
4. Grip
Gloves must provide good grip in the working conditions they’re tasked for. If the safety gloves hinder their progress, workers will be more likely to remove them to get the job done.
Common Causes of Injuries to the Hand and Wrist
Hand and finger injuries are one of the most common types of work-related injuries in Australia. In 2015-16, Safe Work Australia (SWA) reported that more than 14,000 people had to take more than a week off because of workplace injuries to the hand, fingers and thumb.
The most common causes of injuries to the hand and wrist are:
- Using an unguarded powered hand tool or appliance
- Using a sharp-edged tool
- Operating unguarded powered plant or machinery
- Preparing food with an appliance or knife
Being in possession of both hands and all ten fingers is important for quality of life. PRO Choice recognises this, which is why they work so hard to ensure their safety gloves meet the appropriate specifications for each industry of use, whether that’s Australian & New Zealand Standards, HACCP accreditation for the food industry or TGA listings for the medical industry.
