PROChoice Safety gloves have been continually evolving for rugged industrial workplaces throughout Australia for 30 years.
When you are protecting one of your more vital assets it is imperative to get the right glove with the right fit for your needs.
Why wear Cotton Gloves?
There are a number of common uses for the PROChoice Interlock Polycotton range. This range comes in standard interlock or Knit.
They are most commonly used as a liner glove worn inside other gloves than can be easily washed and/or replaced without the need for a replacement of the main glove. The Interlock Poly cotton gloves are often worn inside Boxing gloves and other sweaty environments.
The Interlock Polycotton knit liners are thicker and are often used in catering and food services where a small amount of thermal protection is required.
PROChoice Safety Gloves Range
The PROChoice range of safety gloves covers a wide range of industrial applications including heat, cut, needle puncture, abrasion, disposable, welding and chemical resistant gloves to name a few.
Whilst Australians understand the importance that hands and fingers play in their quality of life, finger and hand injuries are the most common type of work related injury in Australia.*
*July 2008 Australian Safety and Compensation Council
The PROChoice Research and Development team has developed gloves that meet the exacting Standards of specialised industries such as chemical, food handling, medical, mining and welding as well as general hand protection.
What type of Glove should I use?
There are a multitude of jobs, tasks and roles that require an equal multitude of gloves to cater directly to the risks involved. Here are a couple of important considerations in selecting the correct glove:-
- What are the risks involved with your task? Is the issue, heat, cut, puncture, chemical splash issues
- Does the glove fit - choose the correct size glove to provide suitable movement without extra material to risk getting caught in some machinery?
- Does it provide sufficient dexterity for your task? eg. Do you need to pick up sensitive computer equipment, or handle delicate tools?
- What materials were used in construction of the gloves eg. kevlar for heat and cut resistance, PVC or nitrile for chemical and water resistance, are you allergic to Latex gloves
