An emergency safety shower or eyewash station is only doing its job when it works on the first pull, at the first moment it is needed. Under AS 4775-2007, that readiness is not optional and it is not occasional. It is the standard the equipment is held to every day it is installed, backed by weekly activation and annual inspection.

A note for remote and regional sites
No finder tool shortens a courier run. If your facility is somewhere re-supply takes days, part of your repair time is freight time you cannot compress, no matter how quickly you order.
The way to manage that is to hold a small cache of critical spares on site before a unit fails. A spare showerhead, valve or eyewash nozzle is a minor cost measured against the compliance exposure and safety risk of a unit sitting out of service while a delivery is in transit.
