Personal Protective Equipment/Hand Protection/Cut Resistant Gloves
PROChoice Safety gloves have been continually evolving for rugged industrial workplaces throughout Australia for 30 years.
When you are protecting one of your more vital assets it is imperative to get the right glove with the right fit for your needs.
Why wear PROChoice Arax Cut Resistant Gloves?
Arax Cut resistant gloves are cut protection engineered for specific tasks and risk levels. Blending fibres using the latest in technology and innovation to deliver class leading hand protection.
We offer the Arax liner combined with either a Nitrile or PU Dip palm. In addition, we have the Arax cut resistant sleeve to offer addition cut resistance to the forearms up to the elbow.
The Arax cut resistant sleeves have been well received in commercial kitchens, for wildlife officers and zoos, as well as providing extra protection for carers that need protection from clawing nails or biting of patients in their charge.
What Standard do the PROChoice Cut Resistant gloves comply to?
PROChoice Cut Resistant gloves and sleeves are assessed against European Standards EN388.
The European EN388 Mechanical Risk standard was updated in 2016 to make testing procedures and results more precise. The key change to the standard was an additional cut test (ISO13997). The ISO 13997 cut test is commonly referred to as a "real world" cut test because of its ability to measure cut force, which is widely considered a more relevant metric in workplace situations.
The ISO 13997 Cut test graded the levels of Cut resistance in grades A through to the most cut resistant F. This scale provided a more accurate scale of cut resistance compared to the old scale with what was referred to as Cut resistance level 5 gloves.
Whilst Australians understand the importance that hands and fingers play in their quality of life, finger and hand injuries are the most common type of work related injury in Australia.*
